This page is intended to include a complete set of existing application and services that support the development, deployment, and on-going maintenance of the greater CollectionSpace project.

Inventory of Supporting Applications and Services.

All of the Atlassian products are licensed for free under an open-source license agreement.  All of the Atlassian products are currently self-managed by the CollectionSpace community -mostly by MMI and UC Berkeley staff.  All other products and services are either free and/or open-source licensed.

  • MMI hosts Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian Confluence, and the official project website.  The Confluence instance is configured to use several third-party plugins.  For details about the hosting environment (the number of servers, configuration details, costs, etc), please contact Jason Eppink at

UC Berkeley currently manages three linode slices (nodes).  However, the nodes are billed to and paid by MMI.

Integration testing and automated nightly builds and installations, via the project's Atlassian Bamboo instance, which it also hosts. This host offers a daily-updated, "cutting edge" release of the entire CollectionSpace system, which is newer than the current production release.
