Spring - Summer 2009

This is a tentative plan that aligns with the high-level tasks of the Tech Team's Spring - Summer 2009 sprint schedule.

User testing, an integral step in our UI process, is in development and will have a larger impact on this schedule once it is fully organized. This schedule will be updated to reflect a fully realized user testing process.

Deliverable

Description

Status

Define and prioritize input field types

For each field type, find use of use cases of the particular field type, so we can all understand in what context it will be used and what we are designing for.

Input field types have been prioritized and listed.

Draft wireframes

Create wireframes based around field input types and define the input types' behaviors.

Input field types wireframes have been drafted and their behavior defined.

Share and gather feedback on wireframes

Share wireframes with the wider project team and discuss any technical or practical issues that arise.

Several small group and project wide "show-and-tells" were hosted this quarter to explain current thinking and design on input field types and object entry/intake wireframes.

Create a storyboard

Define and illustrate a typical case scenario with wireframes.

Storyboard creation have been postponed until future work on storycards and wireframes has completed.

Make storycards

Create small, simple functional statements that detail a single input type interaction.

Early work on storycards has begun.
