Hi Erin,
I like how this is evolving, but it seems to me that we are still missing the visual element. As in, we are working with artifacts, specimens, works of art, and all of the above looks like lists of text. I would love to be able to go through the process of creating new from existing by visually selecting an image representing the type of record I want to create (i.e., another 15th C. Japanese vase, another bluejay, another playbill). It may be as simple as including a small image where you currently have the green box (and, maybe that's what the green box is for and I'm just not understanding correctly) or it may be replacing one of the columns with another one that is simply a list of media (snapshots? or something like that). Or, it may be something completely different. I'm just still getting the feeling that we are replacating old approaches rather than suggesting new ones. In any event, that is my 2p, in hopes that we can bring some visual elements into the workflows.
